002Description
"Kingdoms and Customs" is an earlier example of a stand-alone tower, that is, not standing on a base. I used rice papers and found objects to create the surfaces, and the dark green color is a (modified) bag that Eslite Book Store in Taipei uses for its customers.Dimensions

The title comes from a line in Borges; the surfaces come mostly from an Eslite paper bag.
It takes a lot of traveling to make that kind of association.
On top of the tower is a house under construction, or in the midst of destruction.
Under the tower is a window into the past, or a tableau of the present.
It takes a lot of traveling to define the difference.
I am still hoping to learn some things.
