Student, Nina ShihDescription
My colleague David Badgley had a very gifted student named Nina Shih, and this is a lovely hand-colored print she made of a still life with bottles. In her clever composition, Nina has arranged a central glass bottle, placed another just behind it going out of the picture plane, and has another bottle laying down going out the opposite edge of the picture. She leaves an open pale "window" of light onto which she lightly brushes "reflections" of the foreground bottles in a bluish ink. This is a unique impression, not an edition.Artwork Details
