When I rediscovered this small but beautifully conceived painting I was reminded that I had the great good fortune to teach some gifted individuals during my time both at TAS and KAS. The lighting when I took the photos for this folder was harsh, and so the soft, subdued feel of the triptych is somewhat negated. But clearly, this young artist considered the composition and carefully constructed an image (and a mood), using basically three colors. There are four elements: stools, ceramic tableware, tables, and shadowy figures, and all are balanced and meticulously painted.Artwork Details
