There is no front or back to this piece. I just started building with what strips of natural wood I had around, and left their color alone. Other shapes I covered or colored, like the two “wings” of the object, which are (literally) slices of pine from a wine crate. The underside is also a slice, but from a painting I did in the early 90s, which I modified permanently by adding a collaged bouquet. You might say I was playing with the guy’s head. I love the pink markings that are on the top of the base. They had been scribbled onto a section of pressure-treated 2 x 4 I found somewhere (much too thick for me to use), so I photocopied it and glued the photocopy to the plywood base.Dimensions
