001Description
This small but vibrant self-portrait was acquired from the artist only through some friendly (and persistent) persuasion, since Song-Ming did not consider himself a painter, especially after one of his early instructors discouraged his pursuit of the discipline. However, this work is compelling both for its use of color (so typical of Song-Ming) and for its obvious reference to the intense self-portraits of van Gogh.Inscription/Signature/Marks
