Description

One of Wu Song Ming's visual techniques is to use an abstracted human form and ground it with some realistic elements. In this case, he uses the head of a bird jutting into the picture plane in the left center to complement the "figurative" construction that fills the right side of the image. Song Ming is a master at balancing horizontal and vertical elements in an image.
