This image depicts the entrance to the small house where Wu Song Ming lived and worked in Peitou, a suburb of Taipei. When I went on my first trip to meet Song Ming, it was this gate through I passed; I didn't realize at that time just how many times I was to pass through it over the years of our friendship. Despite the idyllic appearance this print gives to the abode and its grounds, be assured that the house itself was extremely humble and devoid of modern conveniences like air conditioning. I can still recall the almost delicious smell of the oil ink that hit me as I walked into the front room, Song Ming's main working area.Inscription/Signature/Marks
