Description

This has to be one of the "masterpieces" of Wu Song Ming's journals. Ostensibly a landscape, there is a blue "river" that leads us into the picture plane. The marks Song Ming uses in this image foreshadow his later woodblock prints of landscapes, wherein he uses the most basic cuts to delineate space and features of the landscape.
