Description

Hobart Stream, in Edmunds, Maine, once sluiced timber to the Hobart's sawmill at Little Falls, as well as being significant source of salt hay. It was joined to the Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge in 1937, and expanded in the early 2000's.

Context

Hobart Stream flows from Hobart Lake through the township of Edmunds to Little Falls. It was a source of lumber for the tide mill operated during much of the 19th century.
