A schoolhouse was located on this stretch of the East Ridge Road for students from Plantation 14, now Cathance Township, living on or near the East Ridge Road. When the Edmunds Consolidated school opened in 1952, the East Ridge School was closed and the elementary students began attending the new Edmunds school.Collection
