Photographic portrait of Thomas Lincoln, born in Dennysville in 1812, student at Bowdoin College and companion of John James Audubon in 1832 and 1833 on the naturalist's voyage of discovery to Labrador in 1833. He lived in his family home in Dennysville all his days, taking a keen interest in farming, and natural history, and kept abreast of scientific developments through extensive correspondence, recorded in collection at the Dennys River Historical Society in Dennysville, Maine.
