Description

In the Kuba culture the drum is a very prestigious object, which why most of them have a pedestal attached to the bottom of it to elevate it off the ground. This drum represents the iyol solider society of the Cuba culture. This is know because of the carving of the face figure with the hand attached to the bottom. This carving represents the joining of the iyol society because when someone enters the society the solider kills an enemy and brought back the enemy's hand as proof.
