My Archaic Self, was one of 12 works done in Egg Tempra on gessoed watercolor paper while I was at the Karolyi Foundation for artists Vence, France. It is now the NAR foundation. I traveled the western history of Europe, time wise and style, in the portraits from primitive to contemporary. Archaic means ancient also means an expression, resembling a smile, seen on Greek sculpture until 500 b.c. -Kramer
