Context
For this piece, the artist was inspired by hippie culture, specifically of the tradition of Shamans and chiefs taking mushrooms to achieve an alternate reality – this drawing was more automatic than anything – less contrived than other pieces. Like many of his works, his images are tied to his own dreams.
