A new approach to Buddhism / by DhiravamsaEntry/Object ID
CORE BQ4055 .D46N48 1974Description
A new approach is being introduced to enable people to have a clearer insight into the subject of the Buddha-Dhamma. In order to see anything in a fresh way, we need to leave aside dogmatic assertions, traditions, beliefs, and even knowledge and information concerning Buddhism. Otherwise, we shall not see things anew but remain tied to a kind of repetition in which there is boredom, conflict, contradiction, and a form of sleep. We are enquiring into the possibility of having a new dimension in our attitude to life as a living reality, in which everything is integrated because it is understood. This requires freedom from attachment to the dogmas of organised religion, and the renunciation of the self, so that in our journey through life we shall not be diverted by ego-trips, or by ego plans for becoming something or somebody.
