Notes

An original print of this image was donated by Nancy Waller, Bethel Island CA to the Archives on April 25, 2024. Another original print and a scan are at SF Maritime Library, Item No. A12.07843. Scan purchased for Archives prior to donation of our own print.

Research Notes

Notes

Based on information from the donor and our research, we tracked down the Dolphin connection. In the 1920s, the donor’s father lived for a while at the San Francisco home of an uncle, Thomas J. Kennedy, who had been a Dolphin Club member. The photo ended up with the donor’s father, then with her. Kennedy is shown in a photo panel of Club members from 1902, now hanging in the stairway east side. (See Photograph 190212.) Kennedy was a two-term state senator 1906-1910 and a supporter of eugenics, according to his obit.
