Certificate from City and County of San Francisco in recognition of the "Farallones To San Francisco Swimming Association."
The text states the association is "Affiliated with the Dolphin Swimming and Boating Club, for its public initiative in serving as an official organization for establishment and maintenance of all rules, regulations, standards, sanctions and records governing individual and team attempts to swim that body of water lying between the Farallones Islands and the area of San Francisco."
Signed October 21, 1968.
The first person to swim the distance was Col Steward Evans, a Dolphin Club member, on August 28, 1967.
