Larry Lewis was a celebrated San Franciscan. He was still working as a hotel waiter and running daily until a few months before his death in 1974 at age 106. The March 1970 Dolphin Log refers to Lewis as an "honorary member." A SF Chronicle article in 1974 mentions his medal from the Dolphin Swimming Club. These honors may have been from the Dolphin South End Runners club, however it's clear Larry Lewis was a good friend of Walt Stack and frequently participated in Dolphin Club events.Subject Place
