As part of the 1999 Shower-Locker Room Expansion Phase 2, club members were given an opportunity to create personalized wall tiles for the new women’s shower, with a donation of $500 per tile, to help cover the costs the renovation project.
Most donors decorated their tiles at a tile party on the dock on December 19, 1999, assisted by a staff member of a ceramics store on Union Street (Color Me Mine). The shop also fired the tiles.
The diagram of the tile placement was prepared by architect Lee Hammack to assist tile setters with placement of the personalized wall tiles on three walls of the new shower area in the women's locker room.
A three page list is included with tile numbers, names of donors, and wall on which tile was installed.Archive Details
