This pin was made as a fund raiser for Laura Burtch Zovickian's first English Channel solo attempt. The 1993 swim was unsuccessful; she made it to within1.25 miles from French coast.
The next year, she competed the swim on July 30, 1994 with a time of 11h 45 mins.
