Knot board: varnished board with the following knots attached with staples--black plastic labels: carrick bend, overhand, eight, surgeons, harness, running bowline, cat's paw, fisherman's loop, granny, wall, neck loop, slip, crown, square, weavers, chain hitch, clove hitch, sheepshank, bowline, stevadore, barrel sling, half and timber hitch, half hitch, low clove hitch, bag sling, scaffold hitch,--seven of them have blocks of wood attached.
