History of Railroading in Door County. An article from the February 7, 1990 issue of the Door County Advocate that reviews the book "Green Bay & Western" written by Stan Mailer of Milwaukee. Of chief interest locally is the history of the Ahnapee & Western Railroad, a spin-off of the Green Bay & Western that served Door and Kewaunee Counties. The article touches on some of the highlights of that local railroad history. The article also features a picture of a train crossing the Sturgeon Bay railroad bridge in 1905, which would have been a print made from the glass negative in this archives (ObjectID #2000.01.008).
