Scope and Content

Military discharge certificate of Edward S. Minor. Edward, who at this time was a First Lieutenant in the 2nd regiment of the Wisconsin Calvary during the Civil War. This certificate notes he was discharged, but its difficult to read for what reason. Certificate is framed and in overall very good condition with very minor signs of use, wear, and storage. Note: This is E.S. Minor's second discharge certificate and was issued roughly a year after the first. Given that the Civil War was essentially over by the time this certificate was issued, its assumed that he was discharged because the war had ended.
