Description

This photo was published in the Advocate with the hope that someone would have information. Gloria Bittorf called with the following: This photo was also in her mother's collection. Her mother labeled it "Kloon Girls"--probably misspelling--most likely "Calhoon." The Calhoon family were farmers in the Jacksonport area. The father, Abner "Abe", was from Dekalb. The mother, Ellen Arkin , was from DePere. They had six children (3 boys and 3 girls). The photo is Mother (Ellen) and Daughter (Mabel). Ms. Bittorf's grandmother used to speak of what fine dressers they were. She probably knew the family through the Episcopal Church. Mabel, born 1885, was married to Otto Woldt in 1903.
