Reinhardt Genealogy - Vol. 1. Part of a large 2 volume Reinhardt Genealogy prepared by Laverne B. Krause. This volume gives background about the Reinhardt and Runkel families in Germany and how they came to settle in Port Washington, WI and eventually some of that family coming early to the Town of Gibraltar in Door County, WI. There is also a lot of information included on the Runkel Castle at Runkel, a village on the Lahn River, about 90 miles north of Golsheim in Germany. The Runkel and Reinhardt ancestors are believed to have family connections with this castle. The Runkel Castle is now a national monument of Germany. Along with the Reinhardts, the surnames of Runkel, Herman, Sohns, Grober and Gauger represent some of the early descendants in this volume and continue on into Volume 2. Physical Characteristics: 970 pages, 8 1/2" x 11" in a white, 3" ring binder, photocopy.
