Stalag Wisconsin Inside WWII Prisoner-Of-War Camps - by Betty Cowley. A compilation of WWII prisoner of war branch camps in the state of Wisconsin. The information on each camp is arranged alphabetically by community name. All of the camps that operated in Door County are listed under Camp Sturgeon Bay starting on page 240. There are also a number of W. C. Schroeder photographs used in the book. Because the official records for the branch camps were destroyed in the 1950's, Mrs. Cowley's information comes from newspaper articles and recollections of people familiar with the camps, along with some chapters devoted to the Wisconsin camps in general and how they came to be in Wisconsin.
