Entry/Object ID

Description

Steam Engine #1 at Sturgeon Bay Depot. Photograph by O.R. Moore is mounted to cardboard. Date unknown but probably between 1894 and 1906. Locomotive #1 was one of the original three engines for the Ahnapee and Western Railway. Depot building behind train was the original wood depot in Sturgeon Bay (not the Sawyer brick depot). Photo was found in collection possibly donated Kewanee County Historical Society. It has an accession number written on the back (1999.5.2) but does not match anything in our system.
