A diptych of daguerreotypes in a book style case with a front image and a back image. The front image is of a toddler girl. A quality daguerreotype. A paper pinned to the interior velvet lining says "Mother Ella three years old." An oval format and lovely image. The rear image is of a young married couple in a very late period mat. They sit side by side and hold a right and a left hand, while the husband has his arm around the wife's shoulder. The simply dressed wife wears an unusual white fringed neck tie.
