Description

An early image of an elegant couple in dress travel coats. She wears a velvet coat and has a fur muff or bag in her right hand. Her hair is center parted and up with "spit" curls. She wears gold earrings and a gold pin at the neck of her white lace cross tie. Her cheeks are pinked and she turns to look at the photographer. The husband is dressed in overcoat and patterned cravat. He keeps his left hand slipped inside of his coat. He has flat swept over hair and stares intently away from the photographer. Almost Napoleonic style.
