Material Notes

The kayak is carved from one piece of grey-green argillite. The man is carved from a piece of green argillite and the seal is carved from an argillite with dark grey and green bands. The paddle and several implements are of wood. The harpoon has a wood handle and a bone head lashed on with black cotton thread and a long thin strip of leather. There are leather strips lashing down the implements.
