Soapstone carving of a kneeling mother holding a baby. The faces have fairly little detail but the mother's clothing is well detailed, depicting her hood, gloves, and clothing. The child appears to be wrapped in a thick blanket. The mother and child are polished stone; the stone beneath her legs is not polished, perhaps intending to depict snow.Made/Created
