Name/Title
Mohawk Elm Bark CradleboardDescription
This is likely a reproduction of an old-style Mohawk cradleboard, made for carrying a baby. I bought it at the Marin show where the dealer explained that it had been in the Kema Indian Museum created by "Dr. T. Milpais". In researching this museum it is known for reproductions. It was created by Dr. Stephen Mazepa, a chiropractor, in 1968 in Walnutport, near Allentown, PA.Ethnography
