Nahua Bowl with BirdsDescription
Three-footed bowl, with most of the interior decorated with images of three birds and numerous flowers. Just below the rim is a band with alternating cross-hatched stepped pyramidal shapes and sideways "L" geometric shapes. The entire interior of the bowl has a bright pink background with all decoration in dark blue. The bowl's rim is slightly scalloped and is colored blue. The exterior of the bowl has three images of hummingbirds feeding from flowers, in blue on the natural clay background. The entire bowl is covered with a shiny clear slip.Ethnography
