A nice large lidded basket, possibly Kuskokwim Yupik, with simple designs consisting of parallel double stitches of dyed grass proceeding up the sides of the basket and lid, about every fourth coil- two bands of green, two of purple and two of brown.
The start of the basket is made with a couple of stitches of dyed grass and the start of the lid (the knob) is also stitched with dyed grass. The colored stitches begin with small knots on the exterior.
