Name/Title

Wailaki or Lassik Acorn Soup Bowl

Description

Wide, low bowl with a complicated stepped triangle design below the center and a simple repeated triangle design above. The center is further defined by a pair of lattice twined rods. In looking at the basket in April 2018, Craig Bates noted that this basket was likely made by two weavers- a more experienced one having begun it and a less experienced one finishing it.
