Very nice ash splint and sweetgrass lidded basket, decorated with bands of red and green dyed thin splints (nearly completely faded away on the exterior) and two-strand twisted sweetgrass. The rims of both the basket and lid are finished with coils of sweetgrass attached with a coil of splint. It is probably Penobscot.
