Fr. PETRUS CANISIUS VAN LIERDE
OF THE ORDER OF THE HERMITAGE OF SAINT AUGUSTINE
BY THE GRACE OF GOD AND THE APOSTOLIC SEE
BISHOP OF PORPHYRIUM
PREFECT OF THE APOSTOLIC SACRISTY
DOMESTIC PRELATE OF OUR MOST HOLY LORD THE POPE, ASSISTANT TO THE PONTIFICAL THRONE, AND VICAR GENERAL IN VATICAN CITY
To those who shall read this letter, we make known and testify that, for the greater glory of God and in veneration of His Saints, we have recognized a particle from the flesh of St. Pius X, Pope and Confessor, extracted from authentic places, which we have reverently placed in the displayed in a silver container, round (oval) in shape, well-sealed, secured with crystal, bound with red silk thread, and sealed with our seal imprinted on red wax.
We have granted the bearer the authority to retain it and to expose it for the public veneration of the Christian faithful. However, we admonish the faithful into whose hands these sacred relics may come, that they should never sell them nor exchange them for things that bear the appearance of commerce. In witness whereof, we have issued this testimonial, signed with our hand and confirmed with our seal, and delivered it to the bearer.
