Clemens
By Divine Mercy
Bishop of Velletri
Cardinal of the Holy Roman Church, Micara
Vicar General of Our Most Holy Lord, the Pope
Ordinary Judge of the Roman Curia and its District, etc.
To all and any who shall inspect the present letters, we make known and attest that we, for the greater glory of Almighty God and the veneration of His Saints, have recognized the sacred particles from the bones of Saint Albert the Great, Bishop, Confessor, and Doctor of the Church.
These, having been extracted from authentic places, we have reverently placed in a metal case of round shape, adorned with crystal, well sealed, tied with a red silk cord, and marked with our seal. We have delivered them with the faculty of retaining them, transmitting them outside the City, and exposing them to the public veneration of the Faithful. However, we admonish the faithful into whose hands these sacred relics shall come now or in the future that it is in no way permitted to sell them or exchange them for items that bear the appearance of commerce.
In witness whereof, we have ordered these testimonial letters, signed by Us or by the Most Excellent Vicegerent and sealed with our seal, to be issued by the undersigned Custodian of Sacred Relics.
At Rome, from our residence, on the 9th day of the month of June, in the year 1953.
