Omnibus has litteras inspecturis fidem facimus ac testamur, nos ab authenticis reliquiis particulam desumpsisse ex ossibus S. JOANNIS N. NEUMANN C.SS. R. Ep. Philadelphiensis quam in theca ex metallo adamantino figurae rotundae crystallo occlusa, filo serico rubri coloris ligata, et sigillo muneris nostri obsignata collocavimus.

To all who inspect this letter, we affirm and testify that we have taken a particle from the authentic relics of the bones of St. John N. Neumann, C.SS.R., Bishop of Philadelphia, which we have placed in a reliquary made of metal shaped into a round form, sealed with crystal, tied with a red silk thread, and secured with our official seal.
Given at Rome on the 26th day of the month of December in the year of Our Lord 1974.
