DEI ET APOSTOLICAE SEDIS GRATIA EPISCOPUS CALVENSIS ET THEANENSIS Universis, et singulis, praesentes Nostras litteras inspecturis fidem facimus et attestamur, quod Nos ad maiorem, Omnipotentis Dei gloriam Suorumque Sanctorum venerationem, recognovimus, sacras particulas ex Ossibus P. Dominici Lauri Conf. quas ex autenticis locis extractas reverenter collocavimus in theca metallica rotundae formae, unico crystallo munita, bene clausa et funiculo serico coloris rubri colligata, ac sigillo nostro signata easque tradimus cum facultate apud se retinenti, aliis donandi et publicae fidelium venerationi exponendi. Monemus autem, fideles in quorum manus hae sacrae reliquiae vel in posterum venturae sunt, nullo modo licere cum iis rebus quae mercimonii speciem praeseferant commutare. In quorum fidem has litteras testimoniales manu nostra subscriptas nostroque sigillo firmatas, per infrascriptum nostrum Segretarium expediri mandavimus. Sperandeo English: MATTHAEUS GUIDO SPERANDEO PERPETUAL ABBOT OF SAINT VITALIANUS, BY THE GRACE OF GOD AND THE APOSTOLIC SEE BISHOP OF CALVI AND TEANO To all and each who will inspect the present letters, we bear witness and attest that, for the greater glory of Almighty God and the veneration of His Saints, we have recognized the sacred particles from the Bones of Father Dominic Lauri, Confessor which were reverently taken from authentic places and placed in a metallic case of round shape, secured with a single crystal, well sealed, tied with a silk cord of red color, and sealed with our seal, to be exposed for the veneration of the faithful. Furthermore, we admonish the faithful, into whose hands these sacred relics may come now or in the future, that it is by no means permitted to sell them, nor to exchange them for goods of a commercial nature. In witness of this, we have signed these testimonial letters with our own hand and have fortified them with our seal, ordering them to be expedited by our undersigned Secretary.
