To all and each who inspect these present letters, we attest and certify that, for the greater glory of God and the veneration of His Saints, we have recognized these particles
from the Garments of Blessed Catherine Tekakwitha, Virgin,
and have reverently placed them in a metallic reliquary of round shape, properly sealed, tied with a red silk cord, and marked with our seal. We have also granted them with the faculty to be retained privately and publicly exposed for the veneration of the faithful in accordance with Canon Law (Nos. 1282 and 1289).
In witness of this, we have ordered these testimonial letters, signed by us or by another Prelate delegated by Apostolic Authority, to be issued, strengthened with our seal.
Given at Rome, from the Offices of the Vicariate, on the 12th day of October, in the year of Our Lord 1981.
