Description

One leaf of a gradual. Latin Ecclesiastical Chant for Easter Sunday and days after. Gothic script in brown-black ink copied in two columns with square notation on 4-line red staves in the intervening spaces. Initials are decorated with red and blue ink. Custos with upward diagonal line. 7 staves are visible on each side of this leaf. There is a folio number written in red ink on the top right-hand corner of the recto: “xcvi”. The remnants of holes for binding cords makes it clear which are the recto and verso sides.
