Cardinal President of the Church MONACO LA VALLETTA His Holiness the Pope, Vicar General Ordinary Judge of the Roman Court and its District To all and any who inspect these present letters we assert and attest in good faith that for the glory of God and his saints we have recognised (the authenticity of) the sacred particles from the Vestments of St. Francis Ps. We advise, however, the Faithful into whose possession these sacred relics are now or in the future, that they are in no way permitted to sell them, nor to exchange them for those things which are a specimen of merchandise.
