Gustav Klingert ran one of the most important late-19th century enamel workshops in Moscow. Examples of his enamel work were shown at a number of international exhibitions, including the Chicago World Fair of 1893. It was through workshops like Gustav Klingert’s that the fame of Russian enamel work spread throughout Europe.
