A tumbler is a drinking glass with straight sides and no handle or stem, usually made from a glass or crystal. Tumblers signified a wealthier market, since great attention was paid both to design and detail, thus requiring more labor, which was costly. People who had tumblers usually had the full set, which included an ice container as well, and put them on display for guests to view. This tumbler symbolizes the cohesion between utility and beauty.
