Margaret Kelly was an active member of the Board of Corporators of the Woman’s Medical College of Pennsylvania and served as its Chairman in 1945. She was also Chairman of the Nursing School Committee and helped to found the Auxiliary. Her personal involvement in all aspects of the College ranged from attending State Appropriations Committee hearings in Harrisburg to cooking and serving food at the Annual Auxiliary Fete. Through her, the entire Kelly family was involved in the life of the College. In 1979 she was elected to honorary membership on the Board of Corporators. Mrs. Kelly’s years of leadership continued and expanded the founders’ aspirations, keeping pace with the times and promoting the progress of the College. She was the mother of Grace Kelly, actress and Princess of Monaco.
