This coffee pot was made for Louis Philippe, who reigned as “King of the French” rather than as King of France (1830–48), for use in the Chateau de Tuileries. This is evident by the monogram “LP” in intertwined, foliate script on the body of the pot. The turquoise blue color is called bleu celeste and is one of the most popular colors that was developed by the Sèvres Factory in 1753.

Matching teasets, like this Tuileries set made for Louis Philippe, were a modern concept, with earlier teasets being amassed over time and featuring a mix of different ceramic or metalwork bodies.
