These Napoleon III plates, as well as the sugar bowl, pot-de-crème, and plates below, were all made by Edouard D. Honoré, active from 1820-1855, head of one of the major porcelain factories in Paris. Honoré was also commissioned to design the US presidential china for James K. Polk.
