Louis Philippe had several gold and white services, these three plates represent some of the variations that could be found in his palaces. Services with similar decoration to the plate in the middle, but with Fontainebleau’s palace mark, were originally made for King Louis XVIII (1755-1824) in 1819, the set was reused and completed by Louis Philippe, and finally used by Napoleon III until 1954.
