Not much is known about this decorated earthenware pitcher. A vessel with a handle and open spout might be no more than a water vessel, but its ornamentation leads one to believe it was more significant than a purely functional object. This vessel may have been used in either a social or cultic ritual, or perhaps an artist simply wanted to showcase their skills!
